Pentingnya Literasi Digital Bagi Generasi Muda dalam Menghadapi Perkembangan Teknologi
Abstract
The rapid development of information and communication technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, especially for the younger generation as the primary users of digital technology. Amidst easy access to information, the younger generation is required to have good digital literacy to be able to use technology wisely, effectively, and responsibly. This article aims to explain the importance of digital literacy for the younger generation in facing the ever-evolving technological developments. Digital literacy encompasses not only the ability to use digital devices, but also the ability to understand, evaluate, and filter information obtained from various digital media. With adequate digital literacy, the younger generation can avoid the spread of hoaxes, cybercrime, and the negative impacts of social media use. Furthermore, digital literacy also plays a role in increasing creativity, productivity, critical thinking skills, and readiness to face the challenges of the digital era. Therefore, strengthening digital literacy needs to be a shared concern, both by families, schools, and society, in order to create a young generation that is intelligent, adaptive, and able to utilize technology for positive
